men who don't move
my girlfriend and i 👭🏼 go on daily walks. we always do our best to keep 6+ feet from people. men don't fucking move. i'm tired of it.
we tracked 29 walks and encountered 52 men who made little or no attempt to move. 12 of these interactions were particularly egregious. egregious interactions include, but are not limited to, men running 🏃🏽or purposefully walking 🚶🏼directly toward us, yelling at us to move, and pretty much any interaction involving bikes 🚴🏻 on sidewalks. this is not a scientific study.

Tuesday, May 12th
1. ass wipe riding his bike on the sidewalk (no mask) turns the corner right in front of us and just stops. he doesn't move at all and we can't get around him because he has blocked our path to the road.
Monday, May 11th
1. man carrying baby on his front purposefully walks within 4 feet of us.
Sunday, May 10th
1. man walking down the middle of the sidewalk. didn't attempt to move to a side.
Friday, May 8th
1. we moved to avoid a woman walking a dog and a man who had previously been behind kept straight on walking. didn't allow enough space for us or for the woman with the dog.

1. man and woman walking side by side. didn't move at all.

1. man walking down the middle of the sidewalk on the phone. oblivious.
Tuesday, May 5th
1. man walking down the middle of the sidewalk. no attempt to move. 2. man on phone with no mask paying no heed to anyone near him. 3. man walking directly toward us coming from road. we tried to move out of his way and he walked directly toward us.
Monday, May 4th
1. man running came up right behind us. 2. man wearing a mask walking down the middle of the sidewalk. didn't attempt to move at all. 3. set of men walking side by side down the sidewalk. 4. man wearing a mask biked up behind us on the sidewalk. swerved in front of us and got within 2 feet. 5. man walking down the middle of the sidewalk. no attempt to move.

Monday, April 27th
1. man walking down the middle of the sidewalk paying no mind to those trying to distance from him. 2. man ran up right behind us while we were walking. he was within 2 feet of us.
Sunday, April 26th
1. man without mask riding bike down the middle of the sidewalk. 2. group of men riding by on bikes. purposefully got close to us and tried to speak to us while speeding by. 3. man wearing mask riding bike weaving in and out on the sidewalk. 4. a swarm of four boys riding around us. only one of which had masks. made it difficult to avoid them since they were not riding in a discernable pattern. 5. man walking toward us in the middle of the sidewalk.

1. man ran right by us, within a foot, on the narrowest path of the sidewalk. come the fuck on. 2. man and woman walking side by side down the middle of the sidewalk. 3. man skateboarding down the middle of the crosswalk. didn't try to move for anyone.

1. man stopped in the middle of the sidewalk to talk to people he apparently knew. his friends didn't try to move either. we ended up jaywalking because we had no choice.
Tuesday, April 21st
1. man without mask walking dog. we moved so he moved closer to us? 2. man with dog running straight toward us even when we moved. taking up 3x more space than us. 3. security guard walks right up behind us while we'd stopped to read a sign. probably 4 feet? didn't have a chance to move since he snuck up behind.

1. man walking down the middle of the sidewalk. didn't bother to move over.
Sunday, April 19th
1. man bursts through apartment building door out onto sidewalk paying no mind to anyone walking by. 2. man with no mask casually walking his dog down the middle of the sidewalk. 3. man biking alongside us while we were crossing the road. no need for him to get close to us, yet he did. 4. man rounded the corner while we were waiting for the crosswalk signal. kept some distance but he could've tried harder.
